How much does social media management cost in London?

A useful social media quote starts with the work your business needs: the channels, content, shoot time and people responsible for keeping it moving.

THE SHORT ANSWER

London social media quotes cover different jobs. As provider examples checked on 24 October 2026, MARQ lists £90/month without filming and full-service production from £650/month; Strapture describes £600–£1,500/month hospitality retainers. These are provider-specific offers, not a London average or STAM prices. Compare production, channels, formats, approvals and recurring extras using the same brief.

Compare the scope before the monthly price

Posting supplied images is a different job from visiting your venue, filming a month of material, editing Reels, writing captions and managing comments. A low headline fee can be appropriate when you already have strong assets and someone inside the business handles the rest. A production-led package needs to account for the crew, preparation, editing and review.

The published examples above show why a single “average London price” is not especially useful. Ask whether the quote includes VAT, filming, travel, ad management and ad spend. Confirm the minimum commitment and what happens when your content needs change. Provider prices can change; the linked sources are the reference for those examples.

What should a social media quote include?

ItemWhat to agree
ChannelsWhich accounts are covered, and whether each needs a different edit or caption.
ContentNumbers and formats: feed posts, carousel cards, Reels and Stories.
ProductionPreparation, shoot time, travel, equipment, editing and access to the original files.
PublishingWho approves, schedules, checks business facts and responds to comments.
ReportingWhat is measured, how often it is reviewed and what decisions follow.

For a restaurant or café, start with the moments worth showing

Give your team a clear list of dishes, atmosphere, people and occasions to cover. A content day planned around your actual menu can produce a useful mix of close-ups, preparation footage, team moments and short explanations. Agree which assets become a Reel, which work as a carousel and which are best kept for Stories.

Our Cinnamon Village project story shows real published creative alongside a separately labelled Auto Social workflow example. The published work demonstrates visual execution. It does not, on its own, prove that a particular post caused a booking or sale.

Keep paid advertising separate

Organic content, advertising management and the money paid to an advertising platform are separate cost lines. Ask for them to be itemised. If a campaign needs landing pages, a booking connection or extra edits, agree those before production starts. A comparison is much clearer when every provider has answered the same brief.

Also agree who owns the advertising accounts and how your business can access the work. Day-to-day responsibilities matter as much as the total: a strong content plan can stall if nobody is available to approve accurate prices, opening times or offers.

Make two social media quotes comparable

Our prepared Cinnamon Village Whole Foods package contains three Feed cards and three Story assets. Asset counts and publishing commitments are different: ask each provider to quote against the same formats, production and approval responsibilities.

Brief fieldWhat to specify
Audience and business priorityThe local customers you need to help and the next useful action.
Source materialWhich approved assets exist, and whether filming or photography is part of the job.
DeliveryThe channels, formats, adaptations and production responsibilities you are comparing.
Approvals and customer careWho confirms facts, approves drafts and handles comments or direct messages.
Charges and ownershipWhat recurs, which extras or advertising budgets are separate, and who controls accounts and source files.

Keep the actual STAM quotation separate from any dated provider examples in the article.

For audience and local production decisions, use our North London social media plan. For assisted preparation, explore the restaurant content calendar. Send the agreed brief to our social media team for a proposal around your own business.

What should you measure?

Choose measures that connect with the objective. Relevant reach and engagement can help explain which content interests people; website visits and enquiries add another layer where tracking is available. A follower total alone does not tell you whether the right local customers are paying attention.

Review the work regularly and keep a record of what changed. The next month’s plan should use that evidence, alongside real business priorities, rather than repeating the same formats simply because they filled last month’s calendar.

Common questions

Does a low monthly social media fee include filming at my business?

Do not assume it does. A package using supplied images differs from one that includes planning, travel, filming, editing and approval management. Ask for those responsibilities and any extra charges in writing, then compare providers using the same production and content brief.

Are advertising spend and social media management the same cost?

They are separate decisions. Organic content work, advertising management and the budget paid to an advertising platform may all appear in a proposal, but they should be itemised. Confirm any landing-page work, extra edits and account access before agreeing how the package will operate.

Can AI make a social media package cheaper without reducing quality?

AI may help organise a brief, adapt approved material and prepare drafts, but it does not remove the need for real business assets and factual review. Compare the work and responsibilities the package includes. Ask where AI is used and who checks each format before approval.
